Lar Gibbon Fun Fact: A fun fact about the lar gibbon is that it’s an incredible acrobat, using a form of locomotion called brachiation to swing from tree to tree. With their long arms and hook-like hands, they can cover distances of up to 12 meters (40 feet) in a single swing, reaching speeds of up to 55 km/h (34 mph)! This allows them to move through the forest canopy with remarkable speed and agility, rarely touching the ground.
