Hawaiian Squirrelfish Fun Fact: A fun fact about the Hawaiian squirrelfish is that they are nocturnal hunters with excellent night vision, thanks to their large, reflective eyes! They come out at night to feed on small invertebrates, and during the day, they hide in crevices within coral reefs to stay safe from predators. Their bright red coloration also helps them blend into the dimly lit underwater world at night.
