Aye-Aye Fun Fact: A fun fact about the aye-aye is that it has an extraordinarily long, thin middle finger that it uses to tap on trees to locate grubs and insects inside. Once it detects movement, it gnaws a hole in the wood with its sharp teeth and uses this specialized finger to fish out its prey. This foraging technique, called percussive foraging, makes the aye-aye the only primate that uses echolocation-like tapping to find food!
