Sea Cucumber Fun Fact: A fun fact about sea cucumbers is that they have a unique defense mechanism: when threatened, they can eject some of their internal organs through their anus to distract predators! These organs are sticky and sometimes toxic, giving the sea cucumber time to escape. Remarkably, they can regenerate the lost organs over time, making this an effective (though extreme) survival strategy.
